How to: Switch to Yahoo Mail Classic from the New Yahoo Beta Mail

Are you frustrated with new Yahoo Beta Mail?. Actually I was. I searched in google a lot of time to find a solution. Some bloggers explaind about a “Return to Original Mail” link in Options Menu. But I could not find that link in my Yahoo mail Options Menu. But now I’m so happy,because I accidentally found how to switch back to classic Yahoo mail. Do you want to know?.

It’s not hard to switch to Yahoo mail classic from the new Yahoo beta mail. It’s very simple and funny. Just follow these steps.

  1. Open Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) or older version.
  2. Go to Yahoo.com.
  3. Login to your yahoo account.
  4. Now you can see the Unsupported Browser message from Yahoo beta mail like this.

  5. Click Return to a previous version of Yahoo! Mail link

That’s it. You’re done. Once you done, no need to worry. Now you are in Classic version of Yahoo mail. If the IE method did not work well, don’t worry, please try this link: http://us.mc598.mail.yahoo.com/mc/launch. You can also switch to the new version whenever you want, by clicking the Newest version of Yahoo! Mail. link on the top right corener of the classic version of Yhaoo mail

  8. I found this way to go to YAHOO MAIL CLASSIC…

    Turn off Javascript – you’ll then be asked if you want to return to Mail Classic, click “yes”.

    If you don’t know how to turn off Javascript…

    For SAFARI: Open SETTINGS>click PREFERENCES>>click SECURITY>>Uncheck ENABLE JAVA and ENABLE JAVASCRIPT

    IMPORTANT:Remember to RE-ENABLE JAVA and JAVASCRIPTING back ON when you are back in Mail Classic because without it some mail functions won’t work.

    For IE: Open TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS >> SECURITY. In security click “CUSTOM LEVEL” -> disable active scripting in the scripting section.

    IMPORTANT:Remember to turn JAVASCRIPTING back ON when you are back in Mail Classic because without it some mail functions won’t work.

    For FIREFOX: Open TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> CONTENT, click on “DISABLE JAVASCRIPT”. Now hit F5 to refresh the page while you are in Yahoo! email in order to switch back… In the options, click (PERMANENT) to switch back to YAHOO! Classic. DO NOT click the “ONE TIME ONLY” option.

    IMPORTANT: Turn JAVASCRIPT back ON once you have your “CLASSIC” account back.

  13. I always use mail classic. I paid PC cleaner Pro over $200.00 for help services for one year.
    I informed them that my mail classic with the flags, comes and goes but never stays put.
    Their Microsoft Experts retrieve it for me , but then it never stays as requested.
    It’s been going on for a long time and I am almost out of patience.
    Can you help me ? Raymond

  15. thanks..well it did worked..but when i try to log in to my account thru google chrome,it changed back to the new version again..is there any way that it doesn’t goes back to the new version?help..thanks..

  16. Am very happy to be back with classic at last. I couldn’t open searched messages in the new yahoo, so it was absolutely useless for my purposes. Am so glad to be able to read them again. NB I found yahoo customer services to be absolutely useless in resolving this glitch.

  18. I didn’t try the first version yououtlined because I don’t know how to change to an older version of IE. However, this link did work: http://us.mc598.mail.yahoo.com/mc/launch. My question is, “how do you get the classic version to stay without bookmarkingthis pae, logging into Yahoo, then this link?
