There is absolutely no doubt that HTC mobiles and Samsung mobiles are one of the best names in the mobile world. At present Samsung is leading the stiff competition in the cellular world. Samsung has acquired this top position which it lost to Apple in the fourth quarter. Recently Samsung has launched their most awaited smartphone of the year, Samsung Galaxy S III, in the sub continent. The phone was initially unveiled in London. Though Samsung S III sports high features, one thing that has disappointed many Samsung lovers is the price factor. If we check out the Samsung Galaxy S III price, this device comes with a price tag of around Rs. 43,180. Samsung and HTC have good smartphone devices to their arsenal though choosing the best is quite tricky. If we through every detail of each handset then we might come up with some solution. The Taiwan based phone maker has HTC One X which has the caliber to compete with Samsung new launch, Samsung Galaxy S III. To pick the best let’s start with HTC One X.
If we look at any HTC One X review, HTC One X is a GSM handset and supports 2G and 3G networks; it has a display area of 4.7 inch display which is slightly small and has a 720 X 1280 pixel resolution along with super IPS LCD 2 capacitive touchscreen and the display screen is well protected and is covered with corning gorilla glass. This glass is powered with HTC Sense user interface. If we look at Samsung Galaxy S3, it comes with a larger display area of 4.8 inches with a pixel resolution of 720 x 1280p. Both HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3 sport similar display features and as of now both these Korean and Taiwan makers are going head to head.
HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3 are both Android smartphones and both these smartphone device run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. This smartphone is powered by a quad core 1.5 GHz processor which is mounted on an Nvidia Tegra chipset. If we take a look at the internal machinery of Galaxy S 3, this phone is powered by 1.4 GHz quad core processor and is mounted on an Exynos 4212 Quad chipset. The Taiwan mobile maker goes ahead in the race over here with its faster processor.
HTC One X is fitted with an 8.0 megapixel camera on the back panel which has some of the latest features like auto focus, face detection, smile detection, geo tagging etc. This camera also features recording videos with HD quality and simultaneously clicks images. If we look at any Samsung Galaxy S3 review, this phone sports similar camera with identical camera abilities. However the HTC One X out-performs the Samsung Galaxy S3 when it comes to capturing fast moving objects and burst shots. But then again, Samsung Galaxy S3 features a 1.9 megapixel frontal camera whereas HTC One X is fitted with a VGA camera. Both these devices have LED flash lights on their back. HTC One X comes with 32 GB of internal memory and there is no option of additional memory for the device; on the other hand Samsung Galaxy S3 is available in three different memory storage capacities, the basic variant comes with 16 GB memory storage capacity followed by 32 and 64 GB. The users can add additional memory to this device if they plan to utilize large chunks of data on their device. If we look at the HTC One X price in India, it is about Rs. 34, 749.
There is very little difference between the two devices, but HTC One X has slighter edge over Samsung Galaxy S3, as it’s cheaper and faster than the Korean mobile device. But which one finally takes the cake away, with time we all would know.
