HD stands for High Definition but there are differences between HD Ready and Full HD. Today most of the companies are having full HD TVs and monitors but very few of them know what is it actually? Some people are aware of the high definition technology and at the moment is right to but the new technology with full difference between HD ready and full HD.
Let’s initially understand what is HD? It is high definition and it’s all about the clarity of vision on screen with clear signals. It enhances the media like projector, television and others. It is higher resolution than the standard-definition (SD) system video. In this technology there is display resolution of 1920×1080 pixels or 1280×720 pixels (720p).

What is HD Ready
This label may not give you full picture possible resolution from HD source. There are not enough pixels in HD sets which give true pixel-for-pixel representation without HD resolution (1920×1080) interpolation. In rare cases it may also result in lower HD of 1280×720 resolution. Horizontally there are the CRT based sets, plasma-based sets having 1024×768 resolution.
What is Full HD
The shorthand name for the HDTV video modes category is 1080p. 1080 number actually represents 1,080 horizontal lines over the vertical resolution and the p letter is for progressive scan which can be referred as the full high definition 1080i. It is also called 1920×1080 pixels “Full HD”. The wide screen aspect ratio is of 16:9 term with the horizontal resolution of 1920 pixels. In totality it will create frame resolution of 2,073,600 or 1920×1080.The frame rate is in hertz and can be context specified after the p letter or I, meaning 30 Hz as 1080p30.
1080p meaning that it can be used as direct display resolution is not true because 1920×1200/1920×1080 sometimes may not display 1080p video. 1080i labels close use in 1080p consumer products may vary with range of capabilities. For Example: If the video requirements upscale till 1080p then it takes lower reformats and resolution material for higher display. There is difference in the quality of display with the original 1080p source material on capable display. Similarly the equipment cable may not have the capability to display both 720p and 1080i on full resolution material of 1080p or 1080i. This is common as the material can be scaled down as per the equipment native capability. The equipment cable is only sometimes called as “native 1080p-capable” of 1080p.
Full HD is better choice but this is important only when the surface vision area is significant in large as this will make the full HD and HD screens available. The quality of HD movies and pictures depends on input signal standards.
