Today, Google has introduced YouTube Capture, an iOS app that lets you record videos and then share them on your social networks like Facebook, Google Plus and Twitter. This app helps you to upload videos from your iOS devices easily. This app includes the usual YouTube features like color correction, stabilization and editing. You can also add free background music from YouTube and write a caption.Currently, there’s no Android version of YouTube Capture app. The company has not indicated when one will be available.
The YouTube Capture app will continue to upload your video in the background even after you minimize the app. You can also control who sees your video by setting it to the usual YouTube privacy settings private, unlisted, and public. YouTube released a new version of the app in September that featured a much better selection of videos than the previous iteration. This app will doubtlessly be closely watched by startups like Viddy and Socialcam that are based on creating short videos and sharing them on social networks, but also by Vimeo, whose iOS app was recently updated to include the ability to shoot and share videos.
